I'm going to be flying through Singapore on my way back to Helsinki, Finland. I'm thinking of getting an ASUS M6000N series, widescreen laptop. 15.4" TFT WXGA screen, Pentium mobile 1.6Ghz, 512Mb RAM, 60GB or 80GB Hard disk, WLANg. Since it comes with an international warranty it seems best to buy it from where ever I can get a good price and reasonable service. Has anyone already checked the price differences between Europe and Singapore? And can they recommend any good to buy from? Either on-line stores in Europe or Singapore, or a physical store in Singapore. (I've tried emailing ASUS in Singapore for retailer information, but they don't reply.) Thanks! |

Please keep in mind that ASUS localizes its Notebooks for the European market. At least here in Germany we have the M6N with the German QWERTZ-Keyboardlayout with Umlauts and the taller-than-wide Enter/Return-Key. I don't know what you are typically using in Finland, just keep in mind that there ARE differences in the Notebook builds (even if it's only a different power adapter cable). grüsse, O. Hey Mingoz, a few weeks ago, i have been to Singapur and Hongkong and I haven`t found an ASUS M6n over there. They have lots of other notebooks, but no ASUS. And when i say others.... Maybe I can upload a few pictures later that day. In Singapur you have to go to the Sim-Lim-Square, this is a kind of mall only for computers and peripherie. On the other hand: I won´t do it, because of the warranty and the other powersupply, which won´t fit. And it isnt´t cheaper there.
